I'm a newcomer to this board and need some help on correct dates for James Madison's children. And is everyone agreed that Jas Madison was born Yalobusha Co., MS?
Jas Madison Jr. and wife Malinda Power d. where in TX? Did his birth date come from a family Bible?
Malvina/Melvina--b. 1834 or 1843?
William Wells b. 1835 or 1845? m. Uniby/Unity/Unicy Powers [Nisa E. daughter of Miles?—Miles named children for his siblings; he had sister Nicy, also called Eunicy and Nancy]
Richard b. 1843 or 1848. Since his birth is given as 10 Dec 1848 I assume 1848 is correct?
There were 4 families in Goliad Co. in 1860--Murrah, Power, Paxton, and Ayers--that seem related by marriage. At least 3 of them--Murrah, Power, Ayers--had been in Yalobusha Co., MS.
