I have a Bertha Murphy born 1865, daughter of Jeremiah and Sarah Jane Murphy, Pubnico. When searching my Jeremiah, I came across an online family tree which I believe belongs to this Jeremiah. However, of course when I tried to email the owner (Joyce Bedharz?), the email address was not valid.
The info I found on this tree started in 1790 with a James Murphy and Catherine Calvan. Children (born between 1822 and 1844) were Jeremiah, Ella, John, James, Mary, Catharine, Charles, Margaret, Annie, Peter and Cornelius.
Jeremiah's & Sarah's children were John, Thomas, Alice, James, Jeremiah, Amanda, Byron, Clayton and Bertha born between 1846 and 1863. Bertha married a James A. Jeffery from Nova scotia and had a son James Russell Jeffery.
