I am trying to trace two members of my mothers family who were Murphy's from Carrickmacross. Their full address in Ireland was Mullaghunshinagh, Kiltybeg, Donaghmoyne, South Monaghan - but Carrickmacross/Inniskeen was often used.
Eddie (Edward) and Rose Anne left for US sometime between 1901 and 1911. Eddie was born about 1880 and Rose Anne about 1884.
I know Eddie got married as did Rose Anne (to a Cambridge). We have a picture of Rose Anne from the Duryea photographic studio in Fulton St. Brooklyn so they were in NY.
Their parents were Rose Finnegan and Bernard Murphy.
They had siblings that stayed in Ireland - Bernard, Margaret, Peter, Mary and Jane who seems to have died young.
One daughter of Margaret (Maggie) is still alive - my second cousin who I am in contact with and one daughter of Bernard is still alive - my mother.
Happy to trade information.
