Hi Jeff
Thank you for the information about your Murphy line. I do see that they are very different than my line. Mine goes back to John Murphy who came from possibly County Cork in Ireland but I have not been able to find any records about this or who his father and mother were. He was born about 1809 and died in Stockholm NY 1855. His wife remarried and took her youngest Murphy children with her to Michigan. I have not been able to find records there for those children except for one daughter with whom she lived until she passed about 1900. then that daughter came back east to Vermont. I just can't find anyone out in Michigan who might find records for my Murphy's there. I do not think any of this line went to NM but of course there were Murphy's who did. Going by census records at first and vital records second might get you going again there in NM. If I should come across anything about your line, I will be sure to let you know. I wish you good hunting and much success. I can still get into Ancestry.com and I will try those names and dates you gave me to see if anything comes up. If you remember any other details that might help narrow down your Caroline, please let me know because, as you know, when you put in a name in Ancestry---it brings up all 20 million references to those names. :O( Yikes!! It did take me a lot of years to find the daughters of John Murphy so don't give up. Keep on digging.
Sincerely
Jo Ann Hatstat
