How about Hunter Tim Murphy of Middleburg NY? I believe this family goes back to Robert LaSalle. Hunter Tim Murphy was a very well recorded figure when John Brick wrote a book about him titled The Rifleman the Life of Hunter Tim Murphy.

This Murphy family is married into the Hunter John Myers family. CSA Col John Esten Cooke wore a story about Hunter John Myers and his daughter. It's titled The Life of Hunter John Myers. Three other books by Col Cooke also go along with this. They are, The Life of Thomas Jefferson, The Life of General Robert E Lee and The Life of Alexander Spotswood Dandridge.

Many of these families have a Pittsburgh connection that goes back to the DeLeon family of St Augustine Florida and the Myers family of Ft Myers Florida in Lee County.
