I am looking for information about the ancestors and descendants of Peter Murphy, b. at sea from Irish parents abt. 1810, to Canada, married, probably Ontario, Elizabeth McGuire, b. Ireland 1817, daughter of William McGuire.
Peter and Elizabeth were in Jordan, Onondaga County, New York State by 1860, with their large family.
Children:
Lydia, b. Canada abt. 1836, married James Rickey/Riquier. D. bef. 1860.
James, b. Canada abt. 1842.
George, b. Canada abt. 1850.
Catherine "Kate", b. Jordan, NY Jul 1853, married Amos Perry French, 1869. D. Weedsport, Cayuga Co. NY, 29 Aug 1938.
Charlotte, b. Jordan, 1854, m. ___ ____ abt. 1880, m. (2nd) Andrew Stanson/Stansen, 1897. D. probably Brooklyn, Kings Co. NY aft. 1938. Had children by both husbands.
Sarah "Sadie", b. Jordan, 1856, m. Thomas Dunn, 9 Nov 1878. D. 28 Sep 1928, Sangerfield, Oneida Co. NY.
Ellen E. b. Jordan, 1859, married ___ Leonard. D. probably Jordan, aft. 1938.
Frances, b. Jordan, 1861, m. Emmet (or Emmett) McIntyre, 1904. D. abt May 1935.
Peter Murphy was a Civil War soldier, Co. C, 100th NY Inf. wounded northern VA, probably Fair Oaks, disc. Nov 1862, d. in railroad accident, 20 Aug 1867, Rochester, Monroe Co. NY.
Elizabeth McGuire Murphy m. (2nd) Patrick O'Brien. D. Jun 1890, Waterloo, Seneca Co. NY.
William McGuire, b. Ireland abt. 1784, also was in Jordan by 1860, w/son also William, b. abt 1811, Ireland, d. 28 Dec 1884, Harrisburg, Dauphin Co. PA.
Ann McGuire Bell, also dau. of Wm. Sr., b. abt 1827, Ontario, m. Richard Bell. This family lived in Sangerfield, Oneida Co. NY.
