Farmer (Everett Farmer) Murphree was my double cousin, His dad being Jesse Caleb Murphree my gg uncle. His mother Martha Ann "Mattie" Ford my gg aunt.
Jesse being the son of Barzillai Murphree and Elizabeth "Betsy" Ann Maddox. Mattie being the dtr. of Isaac Manley Ford and Sara Ann Wofford.
Another brother of Jesse was Albert Young Murphree and his son, who will remained nameless as I don't want to embarrass him, was the first boy I ever fell in love with, as only a 1st grader can fall in love. I went home from school one day and told mother I was going to marry ______ when I grew up. Mother broke my heart as she told me I couldn't marry ______, because we would have "idiots" for
children.
He is my double 2nd cousin once removed.
By the way,almost 60 yrs later _______ is still one of the nicest men you will ever know.
