Jemima Murphree Stephens(B April 4, 1800 - D April 19, 1878) Little Wills Valley, now Etowah County AL-near Gadsden
Buried, Bristow Cemetery, Etowah County, AL.
Both Born in South Carolina presumably Columbia.
Jemima Stephens, a widow moved 1835 Etowah County,
Gadsden AL.
Eli Stephens – oldest son (B 1818 – D 1838)
Etowah County AL, moved to the Houston/Austin TX area
Tapley Stephens – son (B1819 – D 1890)
Levi Stephens, son - 1860?
Married: Rebecca Bynum – February 29, 1839
Sarah “Sallie” Stephens – daughter,
(B August 15, 1825 – D March 1, 1926)
Abraham Berry Smith and Sarah “ Sallie” Smith
Married January 24, 1842, DeKalb County, AL
Moved to MS - 1865
Rev Clifford Newman – great grandson
