Robert 1815 TN or SC

I am looking for gggrandfather, Robert L.Murphy(Murphree) b. ca 1815-1818 in either SC or TN (he uses both). He shows up in the 1860 census in AR, but I can not find him earlier. His children show Tn as birthplace.

My son did a DNA test and we believe he probably decends from the Daniel Murphree 1715 line.

I am expecially interested in any info on Jesse Murphree b. ca 1782 son of William Murphree b. ca 1740, son of Daniel b. ca 1715.

My Robert names his sons Robert b.1852, Jesse b. 1856,Joshua b. 1865, William b. 1868 and John b. 1871.

I've seen William Murphy, son of Daniel, show sons William, John and Jesse. I have not seen any info on this Jesse.

Does anyone have any clue to where to look for this Jesse b. ca 1782? I know a large portion of this family went to Blount Co. Al, but I think mine may have gone from Tn to Arkansas instead of south. Since Robert was older(38) when his son Robert was born in 1852, this may not be his first marriage.

Any hints would be helpful.
Thank you
