Ohmygosh! What a pleasant surprise to hear from someone after all this time.I KNOW I have all the most common names in the history of America in my lineage!
These are the only two that I can find that MIGHT be my Mary Parker's parents. And the only clue here is that MY Mary Parker and Martin K. Dunn, had a son named Peter, and a daughter named Mary. Well, aside from the fact that HER name was Mary, as well.
My Mary Parker was b. 20 May 1819, m. Martin K. Dunn 20 Nov 1938, and had 6 ch: Margaret Elizabeth, John L., Thomas C., Peter P., William, and Mary E.
I think I have a copy of the marriage certificate for Hannah and William Leaf.
Margaret Elizabeth m. George Hendrickson, and none of their children appeared to live very long lives. The names of their children seemed rather odd, but then I don't have George's ancestry, either. These are very elusive people, and though I have George's pension records, there is nothing to indicate who his parents were.
Do you have information on the children you named?
SO glad to hear from you, and please feel free to email me directly, if you wish!
Esther
