Hi,

Thanks for your response. The only thing I know is that my grandfather (Paul Murphey) grew up in or near Aiken, SC (though he was born in Georgia). Later, after he married my grandmother (and they ahd my father), they moved somewhere near Charleston (I believe it was James Island??). Eventually, they moved to Charlotte, NC. Though my grandfather was born in Georgia, I know nothing about HIS father.....his father could easily have been from SC as his mother was from SC.
