I would appreciate some correspondence with anyone familiar with Mark MURPHEY who had a tract of land surveyed on Tyger River:

http://www.archivesindex.sc.gov/search/details.asp?index=43212&table=AllArchivalData&tableLook=Plats

On the other side of the river, there are two names: Isaac (P?) MURPHEY and William (P?) MURPHEY.

Does anyone know if that is a flourish, or, the letter P; and, if so, to what does the P refer?

Any comments will be greatly appreciated.
