I am looking for a Henry N. H. Murdoch, who appears as 8/12 years old on the 1860 census of Mobile Co., AL. He is listed as the son of a Thomas Murdoch b. abt 1828 in PA. Thomas Murdoch is listed as a "Painter". Henry Murdoch marr. a Catherine Opp in probably Helena, Phillips Co., AR abt 1880. From Helena, AR this family moved to Memphis, Shelby Co., TN where Woodie Leonard Murdoch, son of Henry Murdoch, founded and operated "The Murdoch Int'l School of Cotton Grading and Stapling" in the Cotton Exchange Building.
