My greatgrandfather was Samuel L. Murdock. He died at an early age of a lung ailment which he was said to have gotten by climbing down in a neighbor's well to clean it out or get something out of the well to save it. He was probably born around 1870. We don't know much about his family. We think he was from Indiana. He worked for the railroad. He probably met my greatgrandmother when he came to Missouri to visit an uncle, Richard Lewis. He had two children, Samuel Murdock who died of lung disease at the age of 17; and Fannie Myrtle Murdoch (b. 1889, d. 1974) who married Irwin Lee Northcraft. Fannie and Irwin were my grandparents.

We have no information about family of Samuel Murdock and would love to learn more.
