We at the Apple River Fort are researching all individuals who were in our fort on June 24, 1832 when the fort was attacked by some 200 Sauk Indians under the leadership of Black Hawk during the Black Hawk War. John and Sarah (Sallie) Murdock are on our list and we were wondering if you had any additional information on them for us? We have him listed as b. in N. C. 1776 and she b. N. or S.C. in 1777. They were the parents of six children; Jane, Fergus Jefferson, Sarah Evaline, Temperance, Louise, and Reuben. Thanks for your consideration.
