Descendants of John Murdock

CAPTAIN JOHN MURDOCK was born Abt. 1680. He married KATHERINE BARTON, daughter of WILLIAM BARTON and SARAH MARSHAM. John Murdock was a Merchant.
The only child of JOHN MURDOCK and KATHERINE BARTON was:
i.       WILLIAM MURDOCK, b. Abt. 1710, Prince George's County, Maryland; d. October 17, 1769, Prince George's County, Maryland.

WILLIAM MURDOCK married (1) ANN ADDISON Abt. 1728, daughter of THOMAS ADDISON and ELINOR SMITH. She was born May 26, 1715 in Piscataway Parish, Maryland and died October 25, 1753. He married (2) MARGARET DULANY January 01, 1757, daughter of DANIEL DULANY and REBECCA SMITH. She died 1791.

i. JOHN MURDOCK, b. February 10, 1728/29.
Died in infancy.
ii. ADDISON MURDOCK b. July 31,1731, Queen Anne Parish, Prince George's County, Maryland; d. 1793.
iii.COLONEL JOHN MURDOCK, b. May 10, 1733; d. August 03, 1791, Georgetown, Montgomery County, Maryland.
iv. ELEANOR MURDOCK, d. 1796.
v. CATHERINE MURDOCK, b. Abt. 1735; d. November 29, 1771.
vii.MARY MURDOCK, d. 1795, Unmarried.
viii.       REBECCA MURDOCK, d. 1828; m. ANTHONY ADDISON, June 26, 1794.
ix.       MARGARET MURDOCK, b. 1761; d. 1828.

My main sources are as follows:
William B. Marye, Chairman, Committee on Genealogy and Heraldry, "Maryland Historical Magazine, Volume XXV, "The Murdock Family of Maryland and Virginia."," Baltimore, 1930: Pages 262-270.
Edward C. Papenfuse, Alan F. Day, David W. Jordan, and Gregory A. Stiverson, A Biographical Dictionary of the Maryland Legislature, 1635-1789, Volume 2: I-Z, (The John Hopkins University Press, Baltimore and London), Pages 605 and 606.
Effie Gwynn Bowie, Across the Years in Prince George's County, (Garrett and Massie, Incorporated, Richmond, Virginia), Pages 33, 563 and 567.

To the best of my knowledge, this William did not have a James nor did this William's son, John (b. 1733) have a son, James, but that does not mean he didn't. Please remember this is not my direct line. As I come across information, I plug it into my family tree if I can tie it with some source.

If anything clicked and I can help more, please let me know.
