George Murdock , Ohio, Civil War era

I have an envelope sent to George Murdock, Co. "G", 15th reg. Ohio Vols., 1st Brigade, 2nd Div., Murfreesboro, Tenn.

The envelope is addressed in a fine ladies hand. unfortunately, there is no letter in it.

I would like to see it back in the hands of a descendant.

Does anyone know anything about this man?

(or why he was there shooting at my GGGrandfather.)? <grin> (I'm over it.)
