Murdock research
Posted by: Rod Alvstad Date: January 29, 1998 at 18:05:50

I have done a bit of research on my grandfather's line but have come up against a wall. He was born in county Antrim, and from the 1901 census, I find that he was from the Const. Dist of Ballymony, Sub Dist. of Bushmills. His father, John was born around 1857, but I don't know where to look for him since most records were distroyed in that area. He supposedly went to Glascow, Scotland to take a wife (Margaret Campbell) which he brought back to Ireland as he ran the farm that he lived on at the time the 1901 Census was taken. I've done well with my Norwegian line, but really don't know how to approach the Irish research. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Rod
