There are Murdoch's in my family tree. Murdoch is my Grandmothers maiden name. They came from Edinbourough, Banff and Fife, some migrated here (Australia) probably as convicts in the early 1800's. One was David Murdoch b c.1810 in Galsgow, lived in Keith, county of Banff, transported to Australia in 1829 on the ship "Layton". I am trying to trace his Father, a Alexander Murdoch and Mother Grace.
Anything would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks a lot,
Melissa
