Newell Murdock - Betsey Peck Family Bible
Posted by: James Petty (ID *****6174) Date: October 17, 2009 at 19:47:20
  of 1462

My son was recently given an old Bible, in which we found family history information recorded for the family of Newell F. Murdock (b. 24 Jul 1792, d. 20 Dec 1862) and his wife Elizabeth Betsey Peck (b. 9 Jun 1797, d. 21 Apr 1872), m. 15 Jan 1815 at Nelson, Madison Co, NY.
Their children were:
1. Rowson H. (b. 20 Nov 1817, m. 24 Jan 1845 to Eliza E. Welch at Rushville, Yates Co, NY);
2. Marvin T. (b. 31 Jun 1819, d. 9 Mar 1890, m1. 15 Oct 1845 to Caroline E. Compton at Dundee, Yates Co, NY, m2. 15 Feb 1871 to Jennie M. Arnold at Tyrone, Schuyler Co, NY);
3. Merrit Leroy (b. 7 Oct 1822, d. 7 May 1826);
4. Lucien C. (b. 1 Apr 1825, d. 7 Oct 1874);
5. Sallyann (b. 23 May 1827, d. 19 May 1831);
6. Aaron P. (b. 30 May 1830, d. 8 Feb 1855);
7. Hiram H. (b. 28 Nov 1832, d. 25 Sep 1878, m. 23 May 1866 to N. Elizabeth Sunderlin at Barrington, Yates Co, NY).
One additional death is recorded: Florence May Murdock (d. 13 Nov 1898) -- in the 1880 census Florence M. is listed as the 9-year old daughter of M.T. and Jennie Murdock.
This is all the information in the Bible.
I will e-mail images of the Bible pages on request.
