Ken, The James Murdock who purchased at the George Goggans estate sale was James, youngest son of Hamilton Murdock, the immigrant. James died in the 1850's in Abbeville Co., SC but several of his sons moved to GA including William, b. 1794, who was likely the other Murdock who purchased at the estate sale. R. L. Guffin
