I did check the original of the 1860 census and Daniel is not listed.I also rechecked the 1870 census to see if I missed something and I did not. There is a Daniel H. Murdock in the 1910 census in Fairfield County, Ohio, which is where Daniel Huff and his wife, Nancy, are located, but the age (51 or 57) does not match and it is hard to read.Of course, age on a census does not always mean a lot. Also, although he was only about 5 in 1860, he could have been visiting a relative, and therefore, listed with the relative and not his father.
Any way because Juliette's father was Daniel, I believe it is possible that Daniel H. Murdock listed in the 1870 census with Harvey is her son.I expect she died in childbirth given the date of her marriage, the approximate date of Daniel's birth and the date of her death.
I don't think I am related to this family; however, John's (Harvey's brother, I think) son, James, had a son named William and a son named Jeremiah. My ancestor was Jeremiah Murdock (d.1752 of King George County, Virginia.)My Jeremiah had a grandson, John, born in the 1760s, who I have not been able to track. He also had a grandson named William born in 1766.It is an interesting possibility.
