Dear Colleen,
The 1800 Chatham County , N.C. census has Mordechai Murchison listed. Also in this community was John Tally.
Later land sale records mention Daniel Murchison,Banister Tally, John Tally and others in Tennessee.
I believe there may be a Murchison in Revolutionary War Records, too.I was looking for the Murchisons in Carrol Co. , VA.
