I have traced my Murchison line to Malcolm Murchison who married Isabella McIntosh in Forres, Moray in 1823. I suspect that he was from Inverness as Isabella and youngest son David (my gg-grandfather), after Malcolm's early death, have returned to Croy and Dalcross, Inverness in 1841 Census.
Has anyone come across Malcolm or have any ideas for further inquiry? Appreciate the help.

David Murchison (b1836 Forres) m.1861 Catherine Drummond Resides in Alva, Sterling.
John Drummond Murchison (b1861 Alva) m.1888 Barbara Innes (b.1864 Aberdeen) in Philidelphia but returns to Alva later to Paisley
Malcolm David Murchison (b1891, Alva) emigrates to USA
m. Mary Wood (b.1890 Paisley).
Kenneth Murchison (b.1922) m. Victoria Goodwill, Glen Cove, NY.
