Mrs. George White
Mrs. Grace Murch White, wife of the late George White, died last week Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Burns, of 39 Lent Street, Poughkeepsie. She was 83 years old.
Mrs. White had returned to her daughter’s home from St. Francis’ hospital Tuesday having been a patient there for a week, and was believed to be in good health when she returned home.
She was the daughter of the late Marius and Caroline Wing Murch and was born in Rhinebeck, Jan. 17, 1860. She resided in Rhinebeck the greater part of her life.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Burns, Mrs. John Van Wagner of Rhinebeck and Mrs. William Simmons of Red Hook; two sons, Claude White of Red Hook and Ernest White of Poughkeepsie; a brother Harry Murch of Rhinebeck; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Traver of Staatsburg and Mrs. Augustus M. Quick of Poughkeepsie and 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Carroll-Cornelius Home for Services in this village, with the Rev. Frank D. Blanchard officiating. Burial took place in Rhinebeck cemetery.
