Hi Pat,
Thank you very much for your response to my posting. I tried to send this to your e-mail address, but it kept coming back as "undeliverable". I have seen John and Polly's marriage location as either Gorham, ME or Biddeford (not Biddleport), ME. Suspect that Biddeford is correct. Do you have documentation for that, by chance? Rachel and Royal Brewster Elwell had 9 children, who I have as follows:

Ann Marie, b. 10/5/1839
Oliver, 4/9/1842 (my GGrandfather)
Ansel, 9/14/1844
Lydia Margaret, 10/6/1846
Mary Abby, 3/7/1849
Georgianna, 9/1/1851
Asa, 5/11/1853
Royal Brewster, 12/24/1856
Perley Everett, 3/23/1861

As far as I can tell, all were born in Gorham, ME. I would be very interested in all you have on the Murch line, as I also have another Elwell/Murch union a couple of generations earlier. Joseph Elwell (Royal's grandfather) b. Oct. 2, 1734 at Biddeford, ME, married Molly Mary Murch b. May 1, 1743 at Saco, ME (d. Jan. 10, 1834). They had at least 2 children, Levi (Royal's father)b. abt. 1766, and William, b. abt. 1768. Molly's parents were, I believe, William Murch and Tabitha ??? Do you have anything on any of these? Many thanks for any further information you have. Please check the e-mail address on your posting to make sure it's correct.

Steve
