I have been looking for information about the Murch family as well. My grandfather is Lou Murch, the son of Walter Murch the 2nd who was a painter (specializing in the insides of clocks), and Louise Tandy. Walter Murch the 1st, his father, was a jewler in Toronto. Walter Murch the 3rd, my second cousin, is a famous film and sound editor. You will likely be able to find info on these men. I have never heard of Alfred Humphrey Murch, but it is possible that there is a link very far back.
