Hi Wilson: Good to catch up with you. My great-grandmother was Helen Louisa Husted(nee Murch)(see Husted & Duckett pages). 1881 census notes Helen as born in the U.S. lived in the Port Dover area & U.S as birth children indicates. As well, there is one other daughter not on 1881 census buried in Doan's Hollow cemetery. I've visited the site. It is north of Dover and may have been a lumbering town. Presently, there are Husted's in the Windham Centre/Dover/Tillsonburg area who would be cousins so Murch locations are close and may be connected. An old newspaper from the Simcoe area says Helen died in Hamilton, at the home of her eldest daughter, Elizabeth Teeple on 5 March, 1910. My grandmother was Caroline Abigail (grandmother/aunt's name?)Duckett(nee Husted)born 1867, in Dover area. After wedding, lived in London, then Hamilton, deceased Feb.7,1950. I have only 1 photo of my grandmother and she is at her mother's grave. Headstone reads Helen Louisa Murch, wife of Peter Husted. I find that he is buried in Michigan (why???). I have not been able to locate Helen's grave yet but it may be in Avondale, Stratford as per Murch page on OCFA site. Wish I knew more too but glad to find this since moving to Woodstock myself and finding out my grandparents were married here Oct. 6, 1891. Let's keep each other posted.
