Munzer Family Genealogy Forum

Dear Laura,
No, I'm sorry I don't know FRANCES ROSENFELD-MUNZER'S husband's first name. The ROSENFELDS sort of fell into my hands. There were only a few of that name in NYC during the 19th century, they owned property, consistantly appeared on census indexes and left probate records so they had a decent "paper trail". This ROSENFELD line is not related to me by blood since DAVID NICHOLSON ( my great-granduncle ) and his wife CLARA ROSENFELD-NICHOLSON were childless. It is just that I have collected quite a bit of information on the ROSENFELDS and would like to share it with any descendants including the related MUNZER line. In her will CLARA left portraits of her parents and a "piano-forte" to her brother. I was hoping to connect up with a descendant who might still have these things as part of their family heirlooms AND maybe, just by chance, 19th cent. photos of CLARA and/or her husband, DAVID NICHOLSON. I know it is a long shot but that is what family history is all about !
The surname MUNZER probably came up as the married name of one of the ROSENFELD daughters in one of the ROSENFELD parent's will. The MUNZERS may have been a Providence RI or a Chicago ILL, line of the ROSENFELD family. I don't have the records in front of me. I'll have to look it up and will be back to you in a few days. Good luck searching.
