My gggm Jeanette (Janet on tombstone) b-NY 1811 married to my gggf Hiram G. McCormick b-NY 1804-6 on Nov. 1828 at First Methodist Church of Morris Co.NJ and had three children (my ggf)Rev. William Henry, Moses W. & Carolyn E. (Williams). All men were in the Civil War together. They lived most of their life in Newark area of NJ with him being a shoemaker.
Hiram/Jeanette oldest daughter was named Sarah Adeline and oldest son Rev.Charles Wesley McCormick
I notice the David Smith name and wonderding if any connection to my line. Rev.Wm's youngest son was named Samuel Smith McCormick b-1873 NJ and is my gf.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Justine McCormick
