Hello Lydia; The Munnerlyn you speak of who built a Hospital, actually donated money for a wing in a hospital, and owned a Lumber Company in Bennettsville, SC was Henry Jackson Munnerlyn. Henry was a son of Joseph John Munnerlyn and Florence E. Wicker. This is probably the Joseph Munnerlyn you are thinking of, he was born 1862. The Munnerlyn scrapbook website has a bio on Henry, and maybe on Joseph also.

I am a little confused on Roosevelt Jones; you say he was the son of Joseph Munnerlyn? I think I would need further info to assist here.
