I am working from a genealogy that was passed down to me from my grandmother via her family. They were extremely wealthy an I understand that they hired someone to do the research for them.My grandmother's name was Elizabeth M. Munn, b. 9-16-1912; her father's name was Orson Dexaix Munn, b. July 26, 1883 in NY/NJ (prob. NY); Orson's father was Henry Norcross Munn, b. April 7, 1851 Munson, MA (he had a 2 brothers, Clarence Desaix Munn and Charles Allen Munn) It is my understanding that Henry and his brother Charles came to NY to make their fortune and that they were the original creators of the business that became Scientific American. Their father was Orson Desaix Munn, b. June 11, 1824, Munson, MA (his bro/sis were: Pamela, Orall, Adaline, Rice Shaw) whose father was Rice Munn, b. May 17, 1776 Munson, MA; Rice's father was Reuben Munn, b. April 25, 1742 in Brimfield, MA who m. Hannah, Rice's father was Benjamin Munn, b. August 12, 1700 who married Rebecka Russell, b. June 24, 1711.Benjamin Munn's father was Nathaniel Mun, b. May 25, 1661 who m. Sarah Chapin who was the son of Benjamin Mun, 1625, England who married Abigail Burt Ball. This is how the family genealogy reads. I have more details on other family members, but this is the core as it relates to me, to my understanding. Dulcie
