Corinne and Michael --

We might very well connect, but I don't quite have it yet. My great-grandfather was S.S. Munger of Fayette County and San Saba and Lampasas, Texas, and he had 14 children of whom my grandmother was one.

I wrote a book of extensive research for our family on our Stokes line (Eugenia Munger married M.Y. Stokes), but my older cousin Charles is the one who has all the Munger stuff. For years Charles has babbled along, but I never paid much attention or took notes until very recently -- so I don't have much. The names Stephan Ingham Munger, Leroy Munger, and Jane Catherine McNutt sounded most familiar to me, for whatever that's worth.

I'm going to post separately here asking for anyone with information on Texas Mungers, and I'll be talking again with Charles in about a week -- so let's see what that turns up and let's stay in touch.

Carol Stokes
(took back my maiden name when my father died)
