Janet, I don't know whether John Morris and Mary Mundell had children but with ties my James Turner Morris family had with the Mundells, Gustines, Hipples, Childers, and George and Margaret (Corbly) Morris, I think it's possible my James Turner and brother, Daniel,(and others) were John and Mary's children. John b. 17 Mar 1777, son of George and Margaret (Corbly) Morris would have married Mary abt 1797 (I'm guessing). If Mary remarried to Lot Lantz and their first child, Melinda, was born 1808, John and Mary were apparently married about ten years. Page 576 of "The Tenmile Country and Its Pioneer Families" by Howard L. Leckey gives the children of Abner and Mary (Barnhill) "Mundel" and says "1. Margaret Mundel, born February 9, 1783, died 1840; married John Morris, born March 17, 1777, son of George and Margaret (Corbly) Morris. Children of John and Margaret (Mundel) Morris: 1. Abner Morris, married Rachel Bowers. 2. George Morris 3. Mary Morris married ---Fordyce 4. Margaret Morris married --Richey 5. Rebecca Morris married --Jolly." You gave me the first names of Albert M. Richey, George's wife and three children, and Titus Jolly. Thank you so much! So....apparently these are all John and Margaret's children....which still leaves about ten years for John and Mary to have children. Did any of these children and/or Margaret and Mary go to Highland or Ross Co., OH, about 1825 and on to the Fulton Co., IL, area about 1840? Do you know where Mary and Margaret died? And whose dau Mary was? Any help appreciated!
