Sorry about that......hit the wrong button
I'll restart at the sources:
1)1870 Census - District 6, Jessamine, Kentucky
2)1880 Census - Clover Botton, Woodford, Kentucky
3)1900 Census - Justice Precinct 6, Knox, Texas
4)1910 Census - 6 J-Pct, Knox, Texas
5)1920 Census - Justice Precinct 6, Knox, Texas
Also several notations that I got from the internet noting that the town of Munday, TX in Knox Co., was named after him. It started out as MAUD but was later changed to MUNDAY after Reuben Pope Munday who was the postmaster of the town.
The town of Seymour, TX......a short distance from Munday...
seems to have been named after a cowboy who lived nearby by the name of Seymour Munday.......so far I have not made any connections for this SEYMOUR MUNDAY.
Reuben's Munday Ancestors are as follows:
1) Reuben Munday
2) Edmund Munday & Margaret Lowery
3) Thomas Munday & Susannah Slaughter
4) Edmund Munday & Ruth Sneed
5) John Munday & Sarah ?
6) John Munday & Elizabeth Reeves
7) John Thomas Munday & Sarah Peatle
His Lowery ancestors are as follows:
1) Reuben Munday
2) Margaret Lowery & Edmund Munday
3) Robert Lowery & Mary Cunningham
4) Thomas Lowery & Jean Craig
There is much online about his ancestors in various spots but I do caution you to just use this as clues and verify for yourself the information as I have not verified some of these ancestors as they are not my direct line.
My line goes from Edmund Munday & Ruth Sneed to William Munday and Permelia Parr...then to Wilson Wesley Munday & Maria/Mariah Nelson.....then to James Warren Munday & Ida Jane Niblack and finally to my Grandmother Anna Belle Munday who married Joseph Francis "Joe" Slaymaker.
I have only gathered information on Reuben Pope Munday because I live fairly close to Munday, TX and had heard it was named after him and wanted to see if he tied into my line somewhere.
Hope this has helped you out a little or at least provided you with some clues.
