Looking for information on the parents of Winifred, Selah and Elizabeth Mumford . Winifred married Benjamin Gilstrap, Selah married Bright Gilstrap (brothers) and Elizabeth married Dr. Jesse Trehitt. Suspect that their father’s name was Jesse as one of Elizabeth’s & Benjamin children was named Jesse Mumford. Mother’s name possibly Slelah.
They were Mumford’s in MD as well as Gilstrap’s and they may have moved into the NC area in the late 1700's at the same time. Pure speculation.
