1880: Gage Co., Nebraska, Logan Precinct. Irena B. MUMFORD, 12yr, b. 1868. Elizabeth MUMFORD, head of household, Father J.P. MUMFORD not listed with family.
1890: Census records not available. Many state records burned.
1900: Census records not examined.
1910: Lucas Co., Iowa, Plesant Township (located in NE corner of Lucas Co.). Irena B. MUMFORD md. Elza V. CASNER. Dau. Ella Mae CASNER md. John Leonard MADDY and lived next door to the CASNER family in 1910. A MUMFORD family was living in the neighborhood and the head of household, William W. MUMFORD, b. Iowa descended from a MUMFORD father b. in Wisconsin and mother b. in Illinois. The nearness of relationship of this MUMFORD family to Irena B. (MUMFORD) CASNER has not been determined.
Russell was identified as a location of the farm of John Leonard Maddy prior to 1910 and at the time of marriage to Ella Mae Maddy. Russell is in Washington Township in the SE corner of Lucas Co., IA. This couple may have relocated to Pleasant Township to be nearer realatives.
