Hi Elaine,
I can't help you with your immediate family, but you might find the following interesting.

Foster's Peerage, 1883 edition, lists a Valentine Munbee of Jamaica and Horringer Hall, Suffolk, whose daughter Bellamira married John Gore, lieut. Governor of the Tower of London, who died in 1794 at the age of 70. Bellamira died in 1791.

In Burke's Landed Gentry (1836), p. 600, there is Col. Peter Beckford, Lt. Gov. & Commander-in-Chief of Jamaica, d. 1710, who is the father of Thomas Beckford, b. 1682, d. 1731 [Prince Rainier of Monaco descends from an older brother of this Thomas], m. Mary, dau and heir of Thos. Ballard, esq. (son of Col. Thomas Ballard one of the officers who accompanied the expedition
of 1655 and grandson of Gregory Ballard, esq. of Oxford, L.LB), who were parents of Bridget Beckford, b. 1705, who married Valentine Mumby, esq. one of his majesty's council in Jamaica. From that union there is a genealogical link to Princess Di.
