I am posting this info on my family for general research. We are looking for more info on the Smiths or Smyths or Reilly if anyone finds a connection.

Grandmother's Father's Branch:

James Mulligan and Julia Smith (of Gowna, Co. Longford) married approx. 1855 in perhaps Drumlish, Co.Longford. Children: Patrick 1856-1931, Ellen 1857-1925, John 1859-, Peter 1861-1923, Bernard 1863-1938 ( Perth, Australia), Julia 1865-, James 1867-1937.

Grandmother's Mother's Branch:

Thomas Smyth married Unknown Reilly in approx. 1880? in perhaps Rathmore, Co. Longford. Children: Anne 1868, Patrick Joseph 4/8/85 (d.1989, Port Washington, NY), Elizabeth, Ellen, Mary, Julia, Margaret, Bridget, Kate, Francis.

From above:
Patrick Mulligan 1856 and Anne Smyth 1868 married in St. Columkille Church in Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford. about 1886. They supposedly ran a general store at the "crossroads" in Aughnacliffe. Children:

Catherine 8/8/1888 married Peter Prunty 1918. 5 children.
Julia 12/1/1889 married Patrick Kenny. Children unknown.
Mary Anne 4/18/1891 married James McElroy 1921 NYC. 8 children (my grandmother).
Margaret 11/8/1892 (d.1995 Redwood, California) married Michael O'Connor 1929 NYC. Three children.
James 1/5/1895-1939.
Ellen 11/22/1896-1978.
John 5/14/1898.
Bridget 5/6/1900 (d.1990) married William Maughan 1928 NYC.
Alice 3/9/1901 married Dermot Smith, 9 children.
Elizabeth 12/22/1903.
Rose 5/11/1906.
Patrick 10/23/1908 (d.1945 Queens, NY) married Kathleen O'Leary (6/9/07-2002 of Co. Bantry) in approx. 1938 NYC. Three children.
Theresa 7/7/1913 married Joseph Dowling. Six children.

If you find any connections or need info on the further children from the above unions, let me know. Most seem to have headed for US, New York. Happy hunting!
