Brian,
You are correct in thinking that you and I are cousins.
Your ancestor Catherine (Mullett) McNamara was a sister to my great grandfather John J. Mullett.
Your Catherine (Mullett) McNamara and my John J. Mullett were two of the children of Michael and Bridget (O'Rourke) Mullett.
Besides your ancestor and mine, Michael and Bridget (O'Rourke) Mullett had several other children. One of those other children was a daughter Bridget Mullett who married John Cain. I am in contact with some of the Cain family members.
I have a website hosted by MyFamily.com called "DUGGAN/MULLETT/CAIN COUSINS". Presently I have more Duggan information on the website than any other, but I am always happy to add new relatives, like yourself, as well as more information about our Mullett ancestry.
I will send you an invitation to join the "DUGGAN/MULLETT/CAIN COUSINS" website, as that is the only way that you can access the website. I pay all expenses for the website and I take full responsibilty for the website.
My Grandmother Bridget Ellen (Mullett) Duggan tried to stay in contact with all of her Irish relatives. It was through my grandmother and then my mother that I had heard of the McNamara name. For a time, I was in contact with a couple of Thompson brothers who were descendants of Jeremiah McNamara and Catherine Mullett, but both of those brothers have passed over some time ago.
Thus it is such a thrill to be in contact with another descendant of Jeremiah McNamara and Catherine Mullett.
Hopefully our mutual Irish ancestors are smiling down on us as some of their descendants are reconnecting once again.
By the way, I received your e-mail message with your contact information and I hope to get in voice contact with you soon.
Mary Ellen Bridget (Sappington) Good
P. S. As you can tell by this posting, Bridget was quite a popular Irish name in our Irish family tree. My sister even named her oldest daughter Bridget.
