Please correct me if I am wrong. I have James Mullens born 1785. Then I have an 1860 Census showing Thomas Sugg and Rachel (Mullens) in Franklin County, Alabama. Rachel is listed as 43 years old, thus being born Abt 1817. I also have an excerpt from a ledger (will) of James Mullens listing "Rachel Sugg" as a child of his in 1832. This of course would have been after Rachel Mullens had Married Thomas Sugg. Therefore I have Rachel being the daughter of the James born in 1785. I guess Rachel may have had a brother James as you suggest but I do not think it is the James of 1785. If this is wrong let me know. I am still trying to assemble the Mullens/Sugg family. I would love to share information.

Thanks, Eric
