Joy L. Mullen of Elk Grove Village for 37 years Funeral services for Joy L. Mullen (nee Morris), 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the funeral chapel. Joy was born in Chicago. For 34 years she was a teacher for School District 59. She was past president of Region 43 IEA/NEA Union, and past president of District 59 Retirees Union. Joy was the beloved wife of George E. for 50 years; loving mother of Kimberlee Brooks, Kathy (Steven) Johnson, Karyn Mullen and Kristy (Tony) Wright; dear grandmother of Troy, Tracia and Jenna Johnson, Ashley, Tara, Caitlin and Garrett Brooks, and Austin, Aaron and Alyssa Wright.
