Erma,The townland of Kincuillew is in the parish of Kilmacteige in Co. Sligo. It is close to the village of Tourlestrane just west of Tubbercurry. It is about 2 miles south of Mullanys Cross, which is a crossroads. Swinford in Co.Mayo is about 20 miles away. In the 1830s in the townland of Castlerock (Castlecarragh), which is beside Mullanys Cross the prevailing family name was Mullany. In the parish of Kilmacteigue in the 1850s there were three Mullanys listed as landowners 1. John Mullaney at Castlerock. 2.Henry Mullany at Corray. 3.Mary Mullany at Toberroddy. It would seem that the families moved away from Castlerock after the 1830s . Brian Mullaney.
