Hello, My grandfather Joe Mullany was born in Warrington, Cheshire,England circa 1903. His father came from Cork ( but that's all that's known ). There are a number of Mullany's around Northern England inc.Liverpool & Manchester. However, My Grandfather migrated to London and his brother, Thomas, to Canada. My Father, Joe Mullany ( The Irish are nothing if not original ) was born in Hampshire in 1935. I was born in London in 1962 and my brother Joe ( what else ) was born in 1963. Dennis followed in 1964. I am now living in Toronto,Canada. The latest generation: 1993 Alexander (Toronto),Georgina (Essex,England). 1995 Mathew (Essex,England).
1996 Sophie,Francesca & Conor(London,England) 1998 April (Toronto).

Thomas Mullany served in the Canadian Army in W.W.1 and was believed M.I.A./killed.Great Uncle's Jack,Dennis,James served in the British Army surviving the War. My grandfather served in W.W.2 in the Yorks& Lancs,50th Division,8th Army.He survived.

I noticed the most info regarding Mullany's on the web relates to the U.S. Don't forget the English/Canadian branch! thanks,John
