Rev. Philip Mulkey, 1732-1801
Greetings All!
Shortly after receiving Phil Hunt's Mulkey book in the 1980s, I corresponded with him.Generously, he sent a copy of Morgan Edwards' 1772 manuscript ("Materials Towards a History of the Baptists....") with the annotations in the margins attributed by some/many to Richard Furman. The annotation on p. 48 of Edwards' manuscript starts with "Oh Lamentable this Philip Mulkey...."It's an old copy and hard to read, but the gist is that Mulkey did a terrible thing, but it does not specify what he did.
The following 1767 letter from Oliver Hart to James Manning at a Brown University online website is new to me so I thought it might be new to some others too.

If the link doesn't work, Google the following to arrive at the site: "hart oliver" "manning james" 1767
Philip Mulkey is mentioned on p. 2.
I haven't gone through all of the letters, but it might be interesting to see if Mulkey is mentioned in other letters on the site.
Take care.
