Bonnie: many Mulford researchers omit from the list of the children of William Mulford the Immigrant the name of his daughter, Elizabeth Mulford, born ca. 1649 at East Hampton - died on February 28, 1724 same place. She was married circa 1665 to William Barnes III (ca. 1648 - December 1, 1698), son of William II and wife Sarah Evans. They left a number of children. This linage is carried in part under the Barnes family in East Hampton Genealogies by Jeannette Rattray.A second source is a manuscript by Mrs. Grace Lawrence of Dothan, Alabama and lastly a manuscript compiled by Mr. Purcel B. Robertson. You had probably already reviewed: The Barnes Family of East Hampton, L.I. by Richard Wynkoop, April 1906: Vol. XXXVII in the N.Y.G. & B.R. and also the Barnes Famly by Mrs. W. R. Eckhart, Jr. of Houston, Texas.Copies of which are available in the Clayton Genealogical Library in Houston, Texas. - John Dulin
