Muldoon Mexican-Irish
First known ancestor was Maria Muldoon, a widower who apparently came to America sometime around 1840-1850. Settled in St. Louis Missouri.
She had several children, eldest was Patrick who was successful in business in Saint Louis Mo trading in tea.
Apparently one of the daughters became a nun and he donated a big chunk of his estate to his sister's congregation, but I don't know which one that is.
He sponsored younger brother John (who became known as Juan) to Washington University, where he became a doctor (MD).
For some strange reason, he, (John or Juan)went to Mexico, (Tabasco) in the late 1800's or early 1900's, where he married a Spanish lady, last name Payró, and continued to practice medicine.
I am direct descendant of that Juan Muldoon. i am the 5th straight in line.
I would love to know if there are any connections out there. We have settled in Dallas, Texas, after several generations and would like to re-connect with our Irish background.
