Oh didn't find the info in the boxes! just remembered meeting that cousin Forbes back when I was a child and then remembered my great aunt was Isabella Forbes Muir. when I went on Google I found reference to Rev. Thomas Muir at a church in Scotland - it said he lived to be 100 and died around 1960 so I thought I would plug him into the Geneology sight and up he came with his parents being James Muir and Isabella Forbes so I knew that was the same cousin. Rev. Thomas Muir would have been my great grandfather's brother who was Rev. James Muir. Rev. James Muir had a son John Muir but he was an doctor and an author - "History of Captain Cook" was one he wrote. I cannot find any record of the birth of Rev. James Muir or any other siblings to Rev. Thomas and there must have been some - my Muirs had dozens of children.
We may be connected yet. Seems they didn't record all their children. I would think the James Muir who fathered Rev. Thomas and James was born around 1830.
Happy New Year!
Where are you by the way - I live in Toronto Canada.
Sandra
