Trying to trace back from my grandfather Ernest William Muir, married to Marie Chaigneau (Parthenay France). I have been able to track back the following:
GF - Ernest Muir
- married to Marie Chaigneau
- born in Malboro Massachusettes ?
- DOB: Nov 28 1895
- DOD: Jan 27 1976
- daughters:
Aline, Yvette, Alma Rita, Jacqueline
GGF - William Charles Muir
- born in Malboro Massachusettes - About 1871
- married to Alma Lacouture
- sons:
Ernest(s), Albert W., Arthur J.,
- daughter:
Aline (died in a fire as a child)
GGGF - John Steven Muir
- born in Canada
- married to Rosanna(?) Chobot
- sons:
William Charles, John, Wilbur, Walter J,
- daughter:
Evonne, Camilla (not sure on spellings of these names)
GGGGF - Wiliiam Muir
- married to Claire Neveux
I am told that we are related to John Muir (the naturalist) but I have not been able to find a direct link. I think that we are descents from Muir family Scotland.
