My ancestor John McL. Muir, s.o. Charles Muir & Isabella Farrington was b. 1835 Greenock. He came to Newfoundland abt. 1860. I have not been able to find his birth record. I found out recently that his cousins in Rothesay were of Baptist faith. If his parents became Baptist, where would I find his birth record. Any help appreciated.
